Movers Scams - CNN iReport

The typical scam involving a moving company usually goes like this: A consumer contacts the moving company for an estimate. The company provides a low-ball quote and the customer signs a contract. The mover loads the customer's belongings onto a truck and then refuses to unload it or deliver it? A company called Suddath of Orlando, Florida.

Not only did this but stole contents belonging to State Department. When they picked up thing at a residents they took a container of CLASSIFIED MATERIALS as well.

Which was marked do not take. This stealing WHITE HOUSE DOCUMENTS!

Obama signed into legislation a bill that's suppost to stop this crime from happening. A bill with no teeth in it I would say? President Barack Obama signed a law last month that will benefit people who think they have been scammed by a moving company. Beginning in October, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, an agency of the Department of Transportation, will have the authority to impose a fine of up to $10,000 a day on movers holding people's items hostage.

If fact the companies in question is a front for con artists and theft of both private and governmental property. The company in question worked more like the Mafia of old than honest company would have done seeing the error and mistakes they made. You would think they do the right thing and return what they took. NO they sold it to another movers company that now demands even more extortion money for its return. We're not sure it's even their now? The photos show it was loaded and taken away by them.

It's not been seen in more than 8 months. It's now held by another company listed below.Shmuel Mantinband
